True resilience comes from addressing the root cause, supporting the whole person, and building capacity from the inside out.

Meet Jessica

Founder of Resilience Functional Medicine

Jessica Taylor, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through a personalized, root-cause approach to care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Jessica’s clinical background includes extensive experience in critical care and surgical settings, where she developed a deep respect for the resilience, strength, and remarkable capacity of the human body and spirit. Caring for medically complex patients shaped her understanding of the intricate balance between physiology, environment, and lifestyle, and reinforced her belief that true healing requires more than symptom management.

Through her experience, Jessica recognized the limitations of a fast-paced, symptom-focused healthcare model. Driven by a desire to uncover and address the root causes of illness, she pursued advanced training and certification through Functional Medicine University. She has also completed advanced education through the Bioidentical Hormone Training Academy, further expanding her expertise in hormone optimization.

Jessica has a special interest in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and peptide therapies, integrating evidence-based conventional medicine with functional and lifestyle-centered strategies. She is passionate about supporting hormonal balance, metabolic health, and overall vitality through individualized treatment plans that may include nutrition, lifestyle modification, targeted supplementation, prescriptive therapies, and peptide protocols when appropriate.

She believes resilience is not only an inherent quality of the human body but also something that can be strengthened with the right guidance, tools, and support. Jessica partners with her patients to restore balance, build long-term resilience, and empower them to take an active role in their health journey.

A Savannah native, Jessica lives on Tybee Island with her husband and two children, where she enjoys coastal living and spending time with her family.

What conditions are treated?

Functional medicine views a patient's health through the prism of inflammation. Together, we target and eliminate factors that ignite inflammation while restoring your physiological biochemistry for optimal functioning.

While a functional holistic approach can benefit most diagnoses or conditions, I commonly address:

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Circadian sleep disruptions

  • Headaches and migraines

  • PCOS and menstrual irregularities

  • Peri-menopause

  • Stress and cortisol imbalances

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Chronic constipation

  • Generalized Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Insulin resistance

  • Overweight/obesity

How to work with me?

Successful treatment plans depend on patient engagement and commitment. Equally important is the strength of the clinician–patient partnership.

My approach centers on partnership — taking the time to understand your story, uncover root causes, and create a plan that aligns with your goals and values. While this style of care may not be the right fit for everyone, finding the right therapeutic relationship is an important first step toward meaningful, lasting change.

If you would like to learn more before scheduling an appointment, I invite you to reach out to arrange a 15-minute phone consultation. I’d be happy to connect and answer your questions.
