Frequently Asked Questions

  • Functional medicine is a systems-based, patient-centered model of care that seeks to identify and address the root causes of disease. It recognizes that chronic illness often arises from imbalances across interconnected biological systems — influenced by genetics, environment, nutrition, stress, and lifestyle.

Rather than isolating symptoms, functional medicine evaluates the body as an integrated whole and develops personalized interventions designed to restore optimal function.

  • Resilience FM and their providers work as functional medicine consultants in conjunction with your current health care team and is not considered a replacement for your primary care physician. We recommend all new patients to have a primary care physician to cover emergencies, routine care, & screening.

  • Our clinic does not bill insurance. We have chosen not to participate with insurance carriers because their contractual requirements often limit the services that can be provided. By remaining independent, we’re able to offer a more personalized approach that goes beyond standard, insurance-driven care.

  • We offer a membership-based option that allows you to divide the cost of your program into structured monthly payments. This provides ongoing support and care while keeping your investment predictable and manageable. A card on file is required for automatic monthly billing.

  • Methods of payment are: cash, check, credit card, or HSA debit card. In some cases, patients have been able to submit receipts for labs and functional medicine testing and may receive reimbursement. Blood work may be ordered under your insurance if you prefer.

  • We do not participate with Medicare, and as with other insurance companies, we do not submit claims to Medicare. Since our practice does not participate in insurance, including Medicare, you may not submit a superbill to Medicare for reimbursement.

The goal of health optimization is resilience — the capacity to endure, adapt, & thrive.
